The farmhouse
The Ortesida Farmhose started in 2010 after the restoration of an old farm from the early 1900s. A dream come true for our family, a life journey that ended up in the combination of our origins and our passions in one business.
The desire of living following nature's cycle together with the passion for cuisine and hospitality. The rooms are derived from the old barn and the dining room from an old stable, giving them a new life that respects their past and is also contemporary.

WE KEEP TRADITIONS AND LOCAL VALUES ALIVE
Valtellina, apart from its infinite naturalistic beauties, is also famous for its artisanal traditions. From Bresaola, to cheeses, to traditional dishes of which every ingredient is carefully prepared by careful artesans.
We manage our business following this concept, producing high quality ingredients for the most part ourselves, and selecting the rest in our territory from farmers and artesans that are mindful of tradition.
We do this to make sure that the dishes on your table will make you taste flavours that are now hard to find.
Passion and tradition,
the basis of our business.
Valtellina: leisure, fun and history
Valtellina, thanks to its conformity and carachteristics, has seen in the past couple of years the rise of a growing number of different activities. All of them with the goal of helping visitors to get to know naturalistic and historical beauties of our wonderful area.
You can visit ancient towers and castles, venetian rococò style residential palaces such as Palazzo Malacrida in Morbegno, petroglyphs, remains of World War 1 and 2. You can also go trekking up to almost 4000 meters, go windsurfing in Colico on the Como Lake, relax in the Bormio natural thermal baths. You can also take part in the extreme activities offered by Albaredo Per San Marco
The only certain thing is that it will be impossible to get bored!
